from the awards desk
This week, game industry pioneers and visionaries joined together for the Develop Industry Excellence Awards ceremony. The Develop Awards recognizes “creative, commercial and technical smarts” in the gaming industry.
We’re happy to hear that BigWorld-Powered World of Tanks took home the “Use of Online” award, beating out the developers of EVE Online, Minecraft, and Playstation Home.
A pretty big feat for a game that just went live a little over a year ago. But in that time span they have broken world records on BigWorld Server Technology and brought in nearly 30 million players.
See the list of all categories and winners here.
Congrats to World of Tanks!
