With Update 8.0 just under their belts, Wargaming.net is already starting to release some big information regarding the 8.1 update for BigWorld-Powered World of Tanks. Gamershell.com had an exclusive article on the matter.

“Wargaming today announced that the highly anticipated line of British steel machines will invade World of Tanks with the upcoming Update 8.1. Tankmen will get their chance to follow the history of the British tank building mastering 22 iconic steel fortresses…”

World of Tanks Producer Mike Zhivets had this to say on the update.

“The Brits invented the first tank, pioneering the evolution of the whole industry, and it’s an honor for us to greet them in World of Tanks. They are so close, you can hear their tracks rolling! Their looks are as daunting as their guns, and I’m sure the Brits will make great competitors to other nations in World of Tanks.”

This new inclusion of British tanks is an exciting addition to World of Tanks, and should be the first wave of many to come.

Wargaming.net just recently released a new plethora of content for the Japanese aircraft in the upcoming BigWorld-Powered World of Warplanes.

Among this new content is the Japanese Tech Tree for the game, showing the aircraft tier progressions.

“The first tier plane of the Japanese World of Warplanes tree will be a light fighter, the Nakajima Type 91.  It’s followed by nine naval fighters from the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.  The legendary A6M2 Zero is represented, as well as an unusually designed fast interceptor, the Mitsubishi J4M1 Senden, and three types of Kyushu J7W fighters.”

Also added were new renders of Japanese planes, as well as some screenshots of them in action.

Wargaming’s official release on the matter can be seen here, and be sure to check out the Japanese aircraft teaser video while you’re at it.

Wargaming.net recently announced their top-secret BigWorld-powered title – “World of Tanks”. Their early prototype, which was seen by a select few at Moscow’s recent Russian Game Developer’s Conference (KRI), featured heavy PvP arena-style action between Soviet and German forces along the Eastern Front in WWII.

The title is currently expected to go into beta in Russia and former Soviet countries later this year. We’ll keep you informed of their progress, but until then, you can find additional information at their (Russian) site, World of Tanks, and as always you can check out their main site Wargaming.net
